SALES POLICY/CONTRACT -
We will NOT sell to anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please have your parent or legal guardian contact us for you. We will not sell to anyone we believe are purchasing pigs for reasons other than to be kept as pets. This is a NO BREEDING agreement.
1. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required up-front to reserve a guinea pig. This deposit will go towards the total cost/sale. Deposits are ONLY refunded if the pig passes away while in our care. Payments can be made through Venmo, CashApp or Paypal. Final payments/remaining balances MUST be paid the day before the agreed upon pick up day. If the pig is not paid in full the day before it is ready to go, the pig will no longer be held and will be available for other buyers. Any money paid is non-refundable. Deposits cannot be transferred from pig to pig or litter to litter.

2. You must pick your guinea pig up within 3 days of the date the animal is ready, unless prior arrangements have been made between myself and the buyer. Otherwise, the pig, entire payment, deposit and sale will be considered forfeited. **If the guinea pig has not been picked up by the date arranged and we cannot reach you within 24 hours of that date and you have not attempted to contact us, the deposit will be forfeited and the guinea pig will be placed back up for sale. **
3. We reserve the right to hold back any pigs for our own program and deny and/or change my mind regarding any and all sales without reason required.
4. By purchasing a guinea pig, you are agreeing that you understand how to care for it and are capable of making the necessary decisions for the welfare of the animal. Payments and deposits are NOT refundable under any circumstances.
5. No-shows for scheduled pickups immediately forfeit entire payment, deposit and/or purchase. I ask for 24 hour advance notice in rescheduling. New arrangements must still be within the 3 day time-frame for pick up unless otherwise agreed upon between myself and buyer. If you are more than 20 minutes late for your scheduled pick up time, you immediately forfeit entire payment, deposit and/or purchase.
6. ALL pigs receive an in-home health check and are photographed from top to bottom/front to back THE SAME DAY they are scheduled for pick up. These recordings are placed in a digital file through our animal record system and used for our personal records here at the caviary for legal purposes only.
We are not responsible for any guinea pig once they have left our care. They will leave our premises healthy, happy and loved and we’d like them to stay that way.
7. When you or your transportation service provider takes responsibility, or when the animal leaves our caviary (whichever comes first) we revoke any and all guarantees due to risks that are beyond our control. These risks include, but are not limited to, improper circumstance, handling, illness or injury and care provided by the new owner and/or transportation service. This is a very strict policy as I am no longer in control of how the pig/s are cared for and I do not know what they are being exposed to. If your guinea pig becomes sick or dies after bringing it home, please message me and I will try to pinpoint the problem but know it's your responsibility to take it to the vet immediately if it needs care. Any vet bills are the buyers responsibility. All sales are FINAL once pigs leave via pick-up or transport. No refunds will be given.
8. Our pigs are deemed healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time they are ready to go. Once a pig has left our care, we are no longer responsible for any injury or illness that may arise during transport or once they arrive at their new home. If a pig were to pass in the care of our caviary, a full refund will be given to the buyer for any amount that has been paid.
9. Sparkle Skinny Pigs is a closed caviary for the health and safety of our animals. We do not accept appointments in our home but will meet you in a public place.
10. At anytime during the pigs lifetime, if you find yourself in a situation where you are no longer able to care for the pig(s) you purchased, we will accept them back if we have room to do so. We ask that you contact us FIRST before giving the pig away and/or listing the pig/s for sale/adoption. If we are able to accept them back, we will not be able to reimburse what you paid for them, as all payments are non-refundable.. but you can be assured we will work hard to find them the most loving, most qualified new family (with a rehoming fee).
11. Our pigs are handled daily to help prepare them for their new home. We cannot guarantee a pigs temperament or their ability to bond with people and/or any pigs you may already have.
12. We do not guarantee sex, hair length, points/markings and/or color. To the best of our ability we will decide on sex at birth and again at 2 and 3 weeks. If any of the above changes as the guinea pig gets older or a mistake was made on sex, we apologize but we determine these to the best of our knowledge. All guinea pigs are sold as-is. Buyer has the option of declining upon seeing and inspecting the guinea pig in person, but any deposits or payments are forfeited.
13. We recommend feeding the pigs the same food as we do (Sweet Meadow Guinea Pig Pellets) or transitioning them to a new food over a 1-2 week period. Sudden food change can cause death so it is crucial to do this slowly and carefully. A bag of transition food is provided.

BREEDING RIGHTS: Our pigs are NOT sold with breeding rights. You must be able to display that you have sufficient knowledge and/or a history of breeding small animals/guinea pigs. We are VERY selective with whom we choose to allow breeding rights to. We reserve the right to refuse without providing any reason. An additional fee will be charged for full breeding rights. Breeders must be able to provide proof of identity with a valid state ID.
